How to choose between Denver's thermal bathhouse, multi-temperature sauna and plunge houses, community sauna sessions, an outdoor club, and private infrared rooms, with what to confirm before booking.

Denver's sauna and cold plunge venues are concentrated in RiNo, with others in LoHi, near Union Station, in the Sloan's Lake area, in Cherry Hills, and in Englewood. Many are built around traditional saunas and several cold plunges, sometimes at a range of temperatures, so it is worth comparing the heat, the plunge options, and how many people share a session.
This guide groups the Denver venues in our directory by format and lists what to confirm before booking. It is not a ranking. We checked each venue's details against its own website on 9 October 2026; terms change, so confirm them with the operator.

Thermal bathhouse
ROK SPAS near Union Station pairs a 194°F cedar dry sauna and a eucalyptus steam room with warm thermal soaking tubs and five cold plunges from 37°F to 55°F. Walk-ins, single sessions, packs, and monthly memberships are offered.
Sauna and plunge houses
Therma Haus Denver in RiNo has two Western Red Cedar Finnish saunas at 185°F and 200°F and four cold plunges at 40°F, 47°F, 53°F, and 60°F, with free garage parking. Drop-in sessions, intro offers, and monthly memberships are available.
R3 Spa in Englewood offers 60-minute sessions with a 190°F Finnish sauna and cold plunges at three temperatures, cycling between hot and cold as often as you like. Drop-in sessions, session packs, memberships, and private events are available.
Where a venue has plunges at different temperatures, ask the operator which one to start with if you are new to cold water.
Community sauna sessions
NAOSU SAUNA in RiNo runs hour-long community contrast sessions with a traditional sauna and cold plunges, capped at eight guests and finished with complimentary tea. Single sessions, an unlimited membership, and private events are offered.
Garden Sauna, part of the Roots Collective, is a shared community space with a dry sauna and cold plunges, booked in self-paced one-hour sessions. Drop-ins, session packs, unlimited memberships, and private group bookings are offered. As sessions are self-paced, ask what supervision is available.
Red Rock Sauna runs 50-minute community sessions with a cedar sauna and cold plunges at Hogshead Brewery in the Sloan's Lake area, plus private group sessions and delivered sauna rentals. Walk-ins are taken when space allows, so book ahead if you need a set time.
Outdoor club
PORTAL° Denver is an outdoor club in LoHi with two saunas, three individual cold plunge tubs, rinse stations, and social lounge space for alternating heat and cold. Visits are booked in advance with single credits, credit packs, or memberships. Being outdoors, it is worth checking the weather and bringing warm layers for afterwards.
Private infrared room
The Sanctuary at The Skin Sanctum in RiNo is a private room with a far infrared sauna and a cold plunge, reserved for you and an optional guest in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions. Single sessions can be booked without a membership. Ask whether help is available nearby during your session.
Infrared studio without a plunge
Perspire Sauna Studio - Cherry Hills on South University Boulevard has private infrared sauna suites with built-in red light, sessions of up to 40 minutes, a SNØ shower and cold eucalyptus towel, and halotherapy. Its listing does not include a cold plunge, so confirm with the studio if full immersion matters to you.
