Editorial policy & listing methodology

PlungeSpots is an independent discovery directory. Our profiles and guides help you compare experiences and ask better questions before booking or buying.

What a listing means

We organise venue information by city, type, and facilities. Profiles link to operators so readers can confirm current information. An entry is not a personal recommendation, a safety inspection, or confirmation that we have visited. Descriptions may reflect operator information and submitted details.

Source checks and dates

A source-check date appears only when we have compared the profile with an identified source. It means the recorded details were checked at that time. It does not certify equipment, water hygiene, staff qualifications, or medical suitability. Profiles without a date have not completed a recorded source check. Always confirm details with the operator.

How we research buying guides

Our guides focus on intended use, space, installation, maintenance, warranty questions, and manufacturer information. We distinguish desk research from hands-on testing. Unless a guide explicitly describes a test method and results, we have not independently tested the products. Manufacturer links are provided for current specifications and prices.

Health information

We describe experiences rather than prescribe treatment. Cold immersion and heat exposure carry risks, and suitability varies. Our general safety information links to identified health sources. It is not medical advice or a personalised temperature or duration recommendation.

Commercial independence

Featured placements are labelled as paid. Affiliate links disclose potential commission near the link. Commercial arrangements do not establish that a product is best or a venue is safe. Read our commercial disclosure for details.

Corrections and removals

Use the report button on a profile or email hello@plungespots.com with the profile URL, the incorrect detail, and a supporting operator link where possible. Operators can request factual updates without buying a paid listing. We review corrections before changing published content.
